Painting, Sculpture, Photography & Metal Work Competition

Entry forms in by 11th of May 2018

To identify a painting: the artist needs to put their name and the title of the work on the back of the art work

Work delivered

Work to be delivered to Wundowie Community Hall on Saturday 19th of May 2018 by 12 noon or to the Wundowie Library before Saturday 19th of May 2018 by arrangement with the librarian phone 95736205 or 95736250

Displayed:

All work will displayed in the Wundowie Community Hall on Sunday 20th of May 2018

Prizes: 

Presented Sunday 20th of May 2018 10am on the Oval (weather permitting)

Pick up:

Sunday 20th of May 2018 after 4pm or Monday 21st of May between 2&5pm

Judges: Judges will be industrial professionals. The Judges will view all entries, and may decide not to present an award or a discretion. The Judge’s decision is final in all matters relating to awarding prizes; no correspondence or debate will be entered into.

Unsold Exhibits: Work can be picked up from the Community Hall on Sunday 20th of May 2018 after 4pm or Monday 21st of May 2018  between 2 & 5pm * Any exhibits not collected after one month may be disposed of.

Children and Youth Section

All entrants can enter as many times in each category, and all work must be the original work of the entrant. All work must have an Iron Theme with the exception of entries from Section One.

Arrival of Personal Exhibits: Personal Delivery: Exhibits are to be delivered to Wundowie Community Hall on Saturday 19th May 2018 before 4pm

Exhibits by Mail: Unbreakable exhibits, accompanied by proof of entry and the cost of return postage, may be posted to arrive no later than Friday18th May 2018

Return of Personal Exhibits: Personal collection by Individual Entrants: Exhibits will be available for collection from The Wundowie Community hall after 4pm on the 20th of May 2018

School Exhibits: Schools to collect their Bulk Exhibits from The Wundowie Community hall after 4pm on the 20th of May 2018 or on Tuesday 22nd May 2018: otherwise during normal library opening times. Tuesday and Friday 9am to 5.30 pm, and Saturday 9am to 12 noon

Return by mail: Exhibits received by mail, with return postage paid, will be returned as soon as possible commencing on Tuesday 22nd May 2018.

Exhibition: All work will displayed in the Wundowie Community Hall on Sunday 20th of May 2018

 
Prizes: In all sections, place cards and participation cards are only given, no monetary awards given in these sections. A ribbon and gift prize will be given in each section for the art work deemed best in section not in category by the judges. Presented at 10am Sunday 20th of May 2018 on the Oval
 

Competition Categories

Section One
Kindergarten – Year 2 (3- 8 year olds)
Entry Fee: Nil
Prize: Place card only 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus participation cards Ribbon and prize given judged best in section
1. Drawing or painting any subject any medium (no larger than A3 size)
2. Lego model or play dough model (must fit within a 20 cm square)
 

 
Section Two (IRON & open theme)
Years 3 – 4 (8 – 10 year olds)
Entry Fee: 0
Prize: Place card only 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus participation cards.
Ribbon and prize given judged best in section
1. Painting: any medium (no larger than A3 size)
2. Drawing: any medium (no larger than A3 size)
3. Sculpture or model (must fit within a 30cm square area
 

Section Three (Must be an IRON theme)
Years 5-6 (11 – 13 year olds)
Entry Fee: 0
Prize: Place card only 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus participation cards.
Ribbon and prize given judged best in section
1. Drawing any medium (no larger than A3 size, must be mounted on black card)
2. Painting any medium
3. Sculpture or model (must fit within a 30 cm square)
4. Photography (must be mounted on black card)
 

Section Four (Must be an IRON theme)
Years 7 – 12 (12- 18 year olds)
Entry Fee: 0
Prize: Place card plus -1st: $10.00, 2nd: $ 5.00, 3rd: $3.00
Ribbon and prize given judged best in section
1. Drawing any medium (no larger than A3 size, must be mounted on black card)
2. Painting any medium
3. Sculpture or model (must fit within a 1m square)
4. Photography (must be mounted on black card)
